Kashan

Kashan Located on the rim of the central Salt Desert and is divided into two parts, mountainous and desert. In the west side, Kashan is cited in the neighbourhood of two of highest peaks of Karkas chain, Mount Gargash to the southwest of Kashan (the home of Iran national observatory, the largest astronomical telescope of Iran) and Mount Ardehaal in the west of Kashan, also known as “Damavand of Kashan” and the highest peak of Ardehaal mountains (end part of Karkas chain in central Iran).

Kashan dates back to prehistoric times. Kashan the city of “mansion houses, glazed tiles, pottery and Rose water.

Places worth visiting:

Fin Garden, the Sialk Hill (Tepe Sialk), Borujerdi House, Agha Bozorg Mosque, Tabatabaee House, Bazaar.

  • Tabatabaee-ha House:

The house was built by the order of a carpet merchant Mr.Tabatabaee in 19th century in an area of 4700 s.q.m. The architect of this building later built Borujerdi-ha House.

  • Abasian House:

Built in late 18th century, this house has been constructed in five separate courtyards that are interconnected.  Later they were completely separated while 5 different families lived there.

  • Ameri-ha House :

This house has got 7 courtyards, meaning seven independent families could live in it. There are more than 80 rooms in it. You will see the tallest wind catcher of all the historical houses of Kashan.

  • Borujerdi-ha House:

The owner of this house was a merchant bringing items from Borujerd, Lorestan province, Iran. Therefore, he was called Mr. Borujerdi. There are some remarkable paintings done under the supervision of Kamal-ol-Molk, the famous artist of Qajar government in 19th century.

Fin Garden (built early 16th century onward)

located in Kashan, Iran, is a historical Persian garden. It contains Kashan’s Fin Bath, where Amir Kabir, the Qajarid chancellor, was murdered by an assassin sent by King Nasereddin Shah in 1852

This garden is historical Persian garden and located to the south of the city of Kashan and near the village of Fin.

This city gained fame due to the murder of Amir Kabir, the reputed nationalist

 and Prime Minister (Grand Chancellor) of Nasereddin Shah Qajar. Amir Kabir was assassinated in a small bath here in the year 1268 AH.

The Bagh-e Fin  (Fin Garden) likely dates to the early Safavid Dynasty (1501-1736), but its current design began to take shape during the reign of Shah Abbas I (1587-1629), and was restored from 1797-1834 by the Qajar Fath Ali Shah.

Abyaneh

   a famous, historic Iranian village is near Kashan. With a unique reddish hue, the village is one of the oldest in Iran, attracting numerous native and foreign tourists year-round.

In Abyaneh women typically wear a white long scarf  which has a colourfull Rose pattern and an under-knee skirt..

Tepe Sialk

Tepe Sialk: one of the most important prehistoric excavations in Iran.

Tepe Sialk is located to the southwest of the modern city of Kashan, along the road that leads to the splendid Fin Gardens.
